Korea has four distinct seasons: Spring, summer, autumn and winter. Spring is from March to May, and this is a warm season with the full blossom of many flowers including the famous cherry blossom. Summer is from June to August, hot and humid with a lot of rain. Autumn is from September to middle of November, and this is a cool time with the leaves falling that many people enjoy mountain climbing. Winter is from December to middle of March, cold and great for skiing.
If you wish to live independently, the desired room is available through the chonsei agreement. In this case, the student has to prepare the furniture and cooking stuffs, with a way to take care of laundry. In general, there is no living goods at all, but there are plenty of used stores around at inexpensive price. The agreement formation has two types: Chonse and Wolse with the mixed form of the two. The strength of these is that it is very liberal to live. Like the case of board and lodging, it is easier to find suitable place before the term begins. Seoul is the capital of Korea with approximately 600 years of history. Seoul has the cluster of administrative institutions and many important facilities in the region, and for international students, there are English signboard in every turn of the streets.
Bucheon is located between two large cities, Seoul and Incheon and its population is 900 thousand people. Bucheon has grown to be a central industrial city in the Gyeongin Region based on both a portal city to the Incheon International Airport and the convenient traffic conditions in all the directions and the abundant personnel resources. And it has transformed its shapes to be a best city of cultures, trees, flowers and water confronting with the 21st century as well.
Bucheon held every year the festival of cartoons into character industry, animations into game and robot industry, and Bucheon Luminari into illumination industry respectively. And It has the experiences on cultural and tourist resources including film festivals, theme parks (Ains World and Natural Ecological Park), music and festivals as well.
Seoul and suburb have many cultural properties with old palaces, parks and theme parks around, as well as beautiful mountains and facilities. For the popular cultural tour sites for international students, there are Bukguksa Temple, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Insa-dong Street, Korea Folk Village among others. Seoul City operates 'Seoul City Tour Bus' for international students who are craved for tour of Seoul. Price is very inexpensive and the tour hits most of importance places of Seoul with the interpretation service of the guide.
It has well developed subway lines where anyone can enjoy the easy and convenient lines. Subway lines are written both in Korean and English, and the voice message also has two languages as well. Bus is also convenient with numerous numbers of buses going on all directions in very short interval to take you to the proper places. If it is not suited for bus and subway, take on a taxi.
