Any foreign visitor wishing to enter the Republic of Korea should have a valid passport and a visa. However several Nationals can enter Korea without visas on business or travelling purposes for 30, 60 , 90 day.

To obtain an D-2 visa for study in the Korea, a foreign citizen must furnish his or her home country's Korea consulate with proof of ability to meet educational expenses, along with a certificate of eligibility for a visa application.
D-2 visa for incoming foreign students are issued only after a student has been admitted, paid the enrollment deposit, and returned a completed Certificate of Financial Responsibility. Visa services and advice on federal regulations concerning non-Korea citizens are available through Yuhan College's Admissions Office.
Admitted applicants must take the following steps.

1) Formalities for Entry into Korea:
Apply for a Standard Letter of Admission (at the Admissions Office, Yuhan College)
   - Apply for a VISA (at Korean diplomatic establishments abroad)
   - Entry into Korea
   - Register as an Alien (at the Immigration Office)
   - Those who entered Korea with a C-3 VISA (Traveller's VISA) need to change it to a D-2 VISA (Study VISA).

2) All students must submit their D-2 VISAs to the university Admissions Office before school begins.
To live and work in South Korea, you must obtain a Korean long term work visa.(E-2 Visa, 1 year). To qualify for the E2 Work Visa and a teaching job as an ESL Instructor, English must be your native language, you must be fluent in conversational English and you must meet at least one of the following requirements:

1. A university 4 years degree - any major, NO TESOL Certificate required.
2. A college diploma and TESOL Certificate
3. A college diploma in TESOL

NOTE: A TESOL certificate without a university degree or college diploma does not qualify you for an E2 Work Visa.
First step :
Please send the listed documents below to Yuhan College by Express Mail.
   - A original Degree
   - A copy of the picture page in your passport
   - A signed contract
   - A copy of your resume

Second step :
Yuhan College will summit them to immigration to get you a visa letter - also known as "Certificate for Conformation of Visa Issuance". It's basically a blue form from the Korean immigration office that says you are eligible for an E2 work visa.

Third step :
After the college receives the visa letter from immigration, we will send it back to you via express mail. Once you receive your "visa letter", take (mail) it to the consulate along with above documents needed and fees (About A$80.00). If you have to mail your passport to the Korean consulate you'll need to include a check or money order for the cost of visa plus a self-addressed stamped envelope. If you do not include the return mail envelope the Consulate will NOT send your passport back to you.
